In 2005, the Johnsons moved their trademarked show to the Iowa State Fairgrounds. What a great move! Varied Industries Building was completely
remodeled in 2001, making it a 21st century
exhibit hall -- a perfect combination for a great
Antiques Show! All space is on one level, with
great lighting and inviting atmosphere. The Grand
Entrance (on appropriately Grand Avenue of the
Fairgrounds) will surely whet your collecting
appetite! ANTIQUES AT THE FAIRGROUNDS presented by Walt Johnson's COLLECTORS' EXTRAVAGANZAŽ will be held annually on the second weekend of November each year, the dates used by COLLECTORS' EXTRAVAGANZAŽ since 1969. |

| ACRES OF FREE PARKING DIRECTIONS: The Iowa State Fairgrounds is a fixture on Des Moines ' east side landscape. Located at East 30th & University, travelers can exit I-235 at University Avenue , following the signs for State Fairgrounds. For visitors coming from east of Des Moines , exit I-80 at the the US 69 "Loop" Highway, south to University Avenue . A ten minute drive from either interstate exit will bring you to the Fairgrounds. |
